FORCIT DEFENCE has been developing and manufacturing innovative Defence systems since 1920’s. Since the early 1980’s we have been developing world-class Insensitive Munitions, Plastic Bonded Explosives (PBX) products.
Today we are a global supplier that operates as a prime contractor for our own systems and as a partner for other international system providers in the Defence business. We provide our customers with special services like product design, explosives fillings, assembly, and packaging solutions.
Defence offers the second largest capacity in cast cured Plastic Bonded Explosives in Europe. Our core capabilities are area denial, anti-infantry, counter mobility, anti-submarine / anti-surface vessels.
Safety and Quality
FORCIT DEFENCE utilises a technology called cast cured Plastic Bonded Explosives (PBX). PBX’s are chemically and mechanically very stable explosives. This technology enables us to create products that are Insensitive Munitions compliant. Insensitive Munitions are less sensitive towards thermal and shock threats. Insensitive Munitions increase user-, transport and storage safety.
Our hard work in the IM-field was recognised internationally in 2006 when we received an Award of Technical Achievements from Munition Safety Information and Analysis Center (MSIAC, former NIMIC) for developing an EIDS-explosive (Extremely Insensitive Detonating Substance) called FOXIT. Today we have over 35 years of IM competence and are forerunners in safe and effective explosives.
